From Recommendation to Reform: Post-Legislative Scrutiny Driving Government Action

Proud to have contributed, as part of the WFD Jordan team, to Jordan's first comprehensive Post-Legislative Scrutiny (PLS) exercise on the Investment Environment Law.
It is particularly rewarding to see that the recommendations developed through this evidence-based process have contributed to recent amendments to the Investment Environment Regulation, demonstrating how effective parliamentary scrutiny can lead to meaningful legislative and regulatory reform.
This milestone reflects the value of constructive collaboration between Parliament, Government, and development partners in strengthening evidence-based lawmaking and good governance in Jordan.
Our sincere appreciation to the outstanding Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) Jordan team, H.E. Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Mazen Qadi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, MP Khaled Abu Hassan, the Jordanian House of Representatives, and all colleagues and partners who made this achievement possible.
